Lewis Hamilton topped the second practice session for the Italian Grand Prix on Friday afternoon, with Lando Norris an impressive third quickest for McLaren.
Hamilton was second to Valtteri Bottas in FP1, but leapfrogged the Finn in the timesheets in the afternoon session, posting a time two tenths quicker than his Mercedes team mate.

But it was Norris in third place that caught the eye, the McLaren driver 0.897 down on Hamilton, but one of only three drivers to finish the session within a second of the world champion, along with Bottas and AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly.
Further down the order Sebastian Vettel had a spin at the first Lesmo, kissing the barrier with his rear wing, though not with sufficient force to need a change. He eventually finished 12th fastest, three places behind team mate Charles Leclerc, as Ferrari continued to struggle around the high speed Monza track.
