With the return of the F1 Sprint this weekend at Monza, the format of the race weekend is slightly different to usual, with just one practice session before qualifying on Friday afternoon.
So with just one hour to get the cars prepared before quali – which will set the grid for Saturday's F1 Sprint – the drivers wasted no time in getting out on track.
FP1 REPORT: Hamilton leads Verstappen in first practice before qualifying at Monza
With its power demands, Monza has often been a Mercedes circuit, and so it proved in FP1 with Lewis Hamilton topping the time sheets, a half second quicker than Max Verstappen. Hit play on the video above to see all the on-track action from the session.
