F2: Verschoor makes last-lap pass for Jeddah Feature Race win

Richard Verschoor would not be denied victory in Jeddah, fighting through from ninth on the grid to take the Feature Race win for MP Motorsport.
Having crossed the line first in Saturday’s Sprint Race only to lose that win to a five-second time penalty for an earlier incident, Verschoor rebounded in style.
The Dutch driver ran the alternative strategy, starting on the medium compound tyres and running long in the first stint of the race.
He had impressive pace throughout, claiming multiple fastest laps despite his worn tyres and rivals earlier stops to fit fresher tyres.
Such was his speed in the middle phase of the race, he rejoined just a handful of seconds behind race leader Jak Crawford with four laps to go.
Once his supersofts were up to temperature, Verschoor cut into the DAMS Lucas Oil driver’s advantage. Entering the final lap, the MP driver was into DRS range and surged past into the first corner to complete his charge through the field to victory.

Crawford finished second having started from pole, earning his first podium of the 2025 season while ART Grand Prix’s Victor Martins rounded out the podium in third, just holding off Invicta Racing’s Leonardo Fornaroli for the final rostrum spot.
Verschoor’s win moves him into the lead of the Drivers’ Championship, while a P5 finish in the Jeddah Feature Race for Josep María Martí leaves him second, with Fornaroli third.
