F3: Stenshorne inherits Feature Race victory following Tsolov’s disqualification

Martinius Stenshorne achieved his first Formula 3 Feature Race win, inheriting victory of Sunday’s Spielberg event after Nikola Tsolov’s post-race disqualification.

SPIELBERG, AUSTRIA - JUNE 29: Second placed Martinius Stenshorne of Norway and Hitech TGR (14)

Martinius Stenshorne achieved his first Formula 3 Feature Race win, inheriting victory of Sunday’s Spielberg event after Campos Racing’s Nikola Tsolov’s post-race disqualification.

Starting from pole, Tsolov led every lap of the race and crossed the line in P1, 6.6s clear of the rest of the field.

However, following a post-race inspection, Tsolov’s car was found to have breached the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Technical Regulations, relating to the plank of the car not being within the regulatory limit.

As a result, the Stewards disqualified Tsolov from the results, handing the win to Stenshorne.

It capped a tremendous drive from the McLaren-backed Hitech TGR driver, having fought his way through the field from P15 to the podium.

MP Motorsport’s Tim Tramnitz started in 17th, while Campos’ Mari Boya lined up in P14, but both drivers also charged through the field to finish in second and third respectively.

PREMA Racing’s Ugo Ugochukwu recovered from his post-race penalty in the Sprint, which dropped him out of the podium places, to finish fourth ahead of TRIDENT’s Camara.

TRIDENT had all three cars in the top 10 with Charlie Wurz sixth ahead of Mercedes junior Noah Stromsted in seventh.

ART Grand Prix driver Laurens van Hoepen had finished in P9 but also received a post-race disqualification, so Rodin Motorsport’s Callum Voisin moves up two places to eighth.

Rounding out the points are AIX Racing’s Brad Benavides and Van Amersfoort Racing rookie Théophile Nael.
