Ferrari Team Principal Vasseur to miss Monaco Qualifying after undergoing medical checks
Ferrari say that Team Principal Fred Vasseur will miss Monaco Grand Prix Qualifying after being admitted to a local medical facility.

Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur will not be present for Monaco Grand Prix Qualifying, with the Frenchman remaining under observation at a local medical facility following health checks.
On Saturday morning, Ferrari released a statement saying: “Fred Vasseur will not be present at the circuit today.
“Following some medical checks, Fred will remain under observation at a local medical facility.
“No further medical information will be provided.
“We wish Fred a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the track soon.”
Pre-weekend favourites Ferrari had a very strong start to the Monaco Grand Prix race weekend, with Charles Leclerc heading Lewis Hamilton in first practice, with the positions reversed for the second session.
Speaking after practice on Friday evening, Vasseur moved to play down the impressive pace: “It’s a very long way in Monaco from Friday, first to the Quali, then to the race.

“The most difficult [thing] is that you have to anticipate the evolution of the track, the evolution of the grip, and you have to be always one session ahead.
“This is a real challenge for the team and for the drivers. It means that it’s still a long way, and we’ll see tomorrow [Saturday] evening about the real pace.”
