Sergio Perez was the fastest man around the streets of Monte Carlo, as the Mexican driver topped the timesheets in the third practice session ahead of this afternoon's all-important qualifying session at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Perez set a time of 1m 12.476s on the soft tyre to lead home favourite Charles Leclerc by 0.041s. Carlos Sainz set the third fastest time of the session, with Max Verstappen 0.405s behind his team mate in fourth.
Pierre Gasly was the “best of the rest” in P5, ahead of Lando Norris in sixth and Lewis Hamilton in P7. George Russell was in P9, with Fernando Alonso in 10th. Daniel Ricciardo got back on the track after his crash yesterday in the second practice session, and he finished in 15th.
FP3: Perez leads Leclerc by 0.041s ahead of crucial Monaco qualifying
There were no red flags during FP3 but we did see Lance Stroll make contact with the barrier at the Swimming Pool complex, although he was able to continue on his way.
