International bestselling music artist Natalie Imbruglia has been confirmed as the headline act on the main stage during next month’s 2015 Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix concerts in Sochi.
With a musical career spanning nearly 20 years, the MTV Video Music & Brit Award winning - and three-time Grammy nominated - Australian star has sold millions of records worldwide and is best known for her smash hits ‘Torn’ and ‘Shiver’.
Her Saturday performance will be the highlight of the Grand Prix’s entertainment programme, which is offering fans a weekend of great live music - taking place on the Central Plaza stage - to add to the racing extravaganza on-track.
On Friday, guests can enjoy the musical stylings of Diskoteka Avariya, a popular Russian band, as well as a lively set from local hero, DJ Legran. The night after, Natalie Imbruglia will rock the F1 crowd before a series of concerts will close out the racing weekend on the Sunday night, culminating in a high-energy performance by Russian band A’Studio on the main stage.
In addition, a series of entertainment offerings will ensure that fans will be kept entertained throughout the weekend via mixed martial arts M-1 Challenge championship contests, an extreme stunt riders’ show, street theatre displays, virtual racing simulators, mini-golf and a children’s area for the little ones which will include animation workshops and children’s dance studio classes.
Finally, for those wishing to add further culture to their sporting experience, the Iceberg Skating Palace will be staging Ilia Averbukh’s Ice Musical ‘Carmen’ throughout the race weekend.
