PALMER: Piastri was too hard on himself after his slip on Sunday – his race in Australia was one of his best yet


Home races can bring added expectation and pressures, but they are also such a buzz for a driver, particularly if you’re able to fight at the sharp end as Oscar Piastri did on Sunday.
The emotions are exaggerated on home soil, and Oscar cut an incredibly dejected figure on Sunday night after a late race spin ruined his victory chances and with it a surefire first ever home podium for the Australian crowd.
