Although Max Verstappen’s victory at Monza on Sunday was his third of the season (not including the Spa Sprint event), it was the first time that the RB21 showed a genuine race day pace advantage over McLaren.
We’ve already seen other tracks at which the Red Bull’s good aerodynamic efficiency when running low wing levels, notably Jeddah and Silverstone, has made it competitive. Monza, being a more extreme low-downforce track, was even better-suited to those car traits.
