Mercedes and McLaren fought a brilliant battle for supremacy around Silverstone, with Mercedes coming out on top in both qualifying (where George Russell set pole) and the race (with that historic Lewis Hamilton victory).
But with just slightly different circumstances, it could have gone McLaren’s way. That’s how tightly poised it was.
