Seven different circuits have hosted the French round since 1950 and as the 61st French Grand Prix beckons this weekend, we're looking back at some of the most heart-warming and memorable moments from past F1 races in France.
And that starts with Michael Schumacher equalling of Juan Manuel Fangio, by clinching his fifth title in the 2002. The celebrations were apt, with showers of champagne and unbridled joy for the Scuderia.

There's also a shock with Minardi at the top of the time sheets, a brilliant last-lap scrap involving the likes of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, and an epic battle between two F1 legends in 2006.
But of course, Heinz-Harald Frentzen's stunning 1999 victory is the star of this video, which you can watch in the player above.
