WATCH: Last lap tyre drama leads to tense finish at Silverstone – Relive the 2020 British Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton took 11 race victories in the 2020 season as he clinched his seventh world championship, but none was closer to slipping away than his win in the British Grand Prix.
The Mercedes man was leading comfortably in the first of two back-to-back races at Silverstone when, with three laps to go, his team mate Valtteri Bottas suffered a tyre deflation on his front left wheel, before the same fate befell McLaren's Carlos Sainz.
Hamilton was warned to look after his own tyres, but on the final lap his front left went as well, leaving him to limp towards the finish line, with Max Verstappen catching him hand over fist.
In the end Hamilton managed to drag his lame car over the line with sparks flying, just five seconds ahead of Verstappen's speeding Red Bull, but it was dramatic stuff at the home of British motorsport.
Relive the whole, tense affair, in the video above, ahead of F1's return to Silverstone for this weekend's British Grand Prix.
