WATCH: Leclerc endures a nightmare start to the 2023 season as his Ferrari grinds to a halt in Bahrain
Charles Leclerc will leave the opening round of the 2023 campaign empty-handed after dramatically stopping out on track in the closing stages of Sunday night’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
Leclerc was running behind Red Bull pair Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez when his Ferrari hit trouble and forced him to park at the side of the track, dashing any hopes of a podium.
“No, no, no! No power!” Leclerc sighed over the radio as he came to a halt, with his and Ferrari’s championship hopes taking an early dent.
