Around the streets he knows so well, Charles Leclerc proved the man to beat as he set the fastest time of the day on Friday at the Monaco Grand Prix.
As the teams ran their qualifying simulations on the soft tyre, Leclerc set a time of 1m 12.656s to produce the quickest time of the day to lead team mate Carlos Sainz by 0.044s. Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was 0.379s behind Leclerc in third, with Max Verstappen in fourth.
