Oscar Piastri got the better of McLaren team mate Lando Norris in a pulsating end to Qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, with the title contenders trading fastest lap times during Q3.
After topping Q1 and Q2, Piastri lost out to Norris across the opening runs of the pole position shootout, but the Australian hit back over the final laps by pumping in a time of 1m 11.546s.
Piastri ended up 0.209s quicker than Norris after the two papaya cars took the chequered flag, marking the biggest pole-winning margin of the 2025 season so far.
