One of the feelgood stories of the 2020 season was Sergio Perez’s Sakhir Grand Prix win for Racing Point. But as revealed in the latest edition of F1 TV’s Inside Story series, Perez’s victory only came after an adrenaline-filled night under the Bahrain floodlights for the Mexican.

Using exclusive, never-before-heard team radio and footage, Inside Story pieces together the dramatic arc of Perez’s Grand Prix, from the first-lap contact with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc that dropped him to the very back of the field, to his charge through the pack and up into the podium positions – which became the top of the podium position as the races of Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton stand-in George Russell disintegrated horribly.
