What a save! Tsunoda somehow keeps it out of the barriers after huge sideways moment in FP3
Yuki Tsunoda said on Friday that there was "definitely potential" in his AlphaTauri to fight for a Q3 spot in today's qualifying session – but he'll need a tidier lap to make it than one he produced in third practice on Saturday.
The 20-year-old was on a quick lap in the second half of the session and running on the soft tyres when he lost the car at Turn 9 at the Red Bull Ring, his AT02 sliding sideways off the track at speed down the grass at the Turn 10 run off area before he managed to collect it and avoid the barriers – with his mechanics no doubt breathing a sigh of relief given there is just a two-hour break between practice and qualifying.
