What To Watch For in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos

From Mercedes on the verge of another title to Max Verstappen chasing a hat-trick of recovery drives through the field, and from Ferrari also needing to recover from grid penalties to a new home hero chasing points on debut, here are just some of the areas you might want to keep an eye out for as we prepare for what is often an action-packed race at Interlagos.
1. Mercedes’ championship requirements
After Kimi Antonelli won the Drivers’ Championship last week in Mexico City, Mercedes can follow suit and secure the Constructors’ Championship themselves on Sunday.
The equation is a simple one: Mercedes need to outscore Ferrari by three points in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix to become champions, and they have a huge chance to do so given the grid penalties that both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are taking this weekend.
