FIA confirm findings from 2024 Cost Cap review
The Cost Cap Administration has completed its review of the F1 teams' and power unit manufacturers' compliance with the 2024 Financial Regulations.

The FIA have confirmed that its review of the F1 teams’ and power unit manufacturers’ compliance with the 2024 Financial Regulations has been completed.
As part of the review by the Cost Cap Administration (CCA) – a process spanning seven months – all 10 Formula 1 teams and all five power unit (PU) manufacturers submitted financial documentation from 2024.
No team or power unit manufacturer was found to have exceeded the Cost Cap level.
A statement from the FIA said that all “gave their full support in providing the required information. The CCA notes that all F1 teams and all PU manufacturers acted at all times in a spirit of good faith and co-operation throughout the process.”
The review found that while nine teams and all five power unit manufacturers were in compliance for 2024, a procedural breach was identified for Aston Martin, with the FIA stating that the team have “not exceeded the Cost Cap level, and that the procedural breach was of a very minor nature, originated by unpredictable circumstances outside the control of the F1 team.”
As a result, the Cost Cap Administration offered an Accepted Breach Agreement to Aston Martin to resolve the matter. This was accepted and the ABA was entered into on September 29, 2025.
The FIA further stated: “The Cost Cap Administration recognised that exceptional and unpredictable circumstances led to the procedural breach and that AMR have acted cooperatively and in good faith throughout the review process.
“No financial penalties were levied to AMR due to these exceptional and unpredictable circumstances and the Cost Cap Administration confirm that there is no accusation or evidence that AMR has sought or obtained any undue advantage as a result of the breach."
